Our customer is a German manufacturer of fire protection systems and is the technology leader in its sector.

THE POSITION

  • Reports directly to the COO of the holding company.
  • Works in close cooperation with the headquarters in Germany.
  • The focus is on the operational management of sales, project management and installation.
  • Close cooperation with the shared service organization at HQ in development, finance, controlling, HR, and international business support is essential.

THE MAIN TASKS

  • Has a strong affinity for being on stage in the spotlight and enthusiastically presenting the company and product philosophy with USPs to decision-makers of all kinds.
  • Five years of experience in sales of complex, highly technical capital goods with premium positioning and market-leading quality.
  • Further development of the newly established local product management as well as the business development organization.
  • Experience in the construction industry, particularly in industrial or office construction, is a plus.
  • Development of strategic marketing for lead generation in close cooperation with central marketing at HQ.
  • Possesses both hunter and farmer skills as a salesperson: can work both operationally with customers and strategically in the market.
  • Confidence in closing deals.
  • Builds networks. Understands the difference between addition and multiplication.

THE IDEAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION PROFILE

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable training.
  • MBA or similar is a plus. 
  • Experience navigating international structures. 
  • Proven success in key account management and organizational development.
  • Keen sense for technological trends and ability to assess them in a business context.
  • Ideally has industry knowledge in fire protection and/or knowledge of the construction industry.
